The policy applies to all employees, including full-time, part-time, and contract workers. It also extends to stakeholders engaged in the company’s direct operations, products, and services, where reasonably feasible. Please refer to PLANET Human Rights Policy for more details.

Human Rights Due Diligence

PLANET Technology conducts human rights due diligence operations to identify and assess risks on human rights issues, adopts management measures, risk mitigation measures, and tracks follow-up improvements to effectively reduce the impact of human rights and fulfill the commitment and responsibility of human rights protection.

◾ Human Rights Due Diligence Process

From 2024, PLANET established a human rights due diligence management cycle and conducted human rights due diligence on internal and external stakeholders.

◾ Identify Human Rights Issues

Following international human rights guidance and domestic regulations and laws, PLANET identifies the top 10 “human rights risk issues” related to stakeholders. It establishes corresponding management procedures based on the current norms for human rights, working environments, health and safety, etc.

◾ Human Rights Issue Risk Assessment

To reduce and prevent the impact of human rights risk within the company’s operation and supply chain, we have conducted a stakeholder human rights risk assessment based on the top 10 human rights risk issues.

  • Assess the potential and severity of human rights risk issues in the company operation and produce a “Human Rights Risk Assessment Matrix”
  • Conduct a "Human Rights Due Diligence" survey to assess and identify important human rights risk issues affecting the supply chain.
◾ Human Rights Risk Assessment Results and Mitigation Measures on PLANET’s Operations

Based on the 2024 results of PLANET’s internal human rights due diligence, all issues are considered low-risk and no high-risk issues need to be managed immediately.

PLANET implements mitigation measures and regularly tracks and improves human rights risk issues in internal operations. Adopted measures include “Project Management Tracking,” “Strength Control Procedures,” and “Improvement of Human Rights Education.”

  • Mitigation Measurement Principles
  • The internal human rights survey results are based on assessing the severity and frequency of risks. Each issue is categorized by its risk level, and the principles for addressing these risks are outlined.

◾ PLANET Supply Chain Human Rights Risk Assessment Results and Mitigation Measures

The 2024 PLANET supply chain human rights due diligence survey response rate was 100% and the compliance rate for each topic was over 80%.

PLANET conducts regular reviews and improvements of the human rights risk issues on the supply chain. It assisted suppliers in establishing management mechanisms that comply with human rights, environment, health, and safety through education and training, and other communication methods. By upholding corporate sustainability and social responsibility-related management policies, and providing services to the supply chain, PLANET gets to strengthen supply chain resilience, reduce operational risks and implement both PLANET and its suppliers’ sustainable operation.
