As part of its commitment to climate action, PLANET Technology formally committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2024 and successfully validated its near-term and net-zero science-based targets in 2026, marking a significant milestone in the Company’s sustainability journey.
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a globally recognized corporate climate action organization that enables companies to align greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets with climate science and the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.
Based on its validated targets, PLANET commits to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 25.15% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. Within this target, Scope 1 and 2 emissions will be reduced by 42.0%, while Scope 3 emissions will be reduced by 25.0%. PLANET also commits to reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by 90.0% by 2050, advancing toward net-zero emissions across its value chain.
Moving forward, PLANET will continue to drive science-based decarbonization, strengthen climate resilience, and advance its low-carbon transformation through concrete actions, contributing to a more sustainable future.
