Background and Challenge

They have a surface-level access control system managed through their software to manage Wi-Fi communication, alarm enclosures, and blast detection. Having a network in a tunnel also requires that any device withstand environmental factors that could affect its performance. It also included a badge-counting feature with a Bluetooth antenna to identify the number of people inside and their locations, facilitating the deployment of emergency services in case of fire, explosion, or other incidents.
