PLANET Technology, a leading global provider of IP-based networking products, has received the highest honor of the “Platinum Award for Sustainability Reporting” at the 2024 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards for two consecutive years for active improvement in ESG performance and transparency. Its continuous efforts have been recognized for achievement in managing ESG targets through sustainable corporate development.

Since 2011, PLANET has voluntarily published its sustainability report annually to fully disclose its commitment to social responsibilities and the results and performance of various sustainability initiatives. An independent third party has verified that PLANET’s 2023 sustainability report complies with AA 1000 AS, GRI Standards, and SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) standards. Additionally, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) report was assessed by the British Standards Institute (BSI) and rated as the highest grade—Level 5 Excellence.

Over the years, PLANET has continued to incorporate CSR and ESG into its business strategies, implemented sustainable initiatives, and aligned with the values of altruism and mutual benefits. PLANET continuously makes long-term investments to bring a positive influence to its sustainability efforts, including working toward the 2050 Net Zero Carbon Emissions goal. This year, its focus has been working with supply chain partners to strengthen ESG management and enhance carbon reduction. So far, it has helped guide 11 suppliers through this transformation. At the same time, PLANET consistently utilizes its ability to create a happy and healthy workplace with this year seeing the expansion of new programs such as promoting a caregiver-friendly workplace and providing caregiver subsidies of NTD 20,000 per year. So, employees would not have to take a hiatus from their careers. PLANET has also focused on “art and culture” in recent years in addition to supporting the education of disadvantaged students. This helps to develop and support innovation by cultivating a new generation of cultural and artistic talents to promote Taiwan’s culture while promoting sustainable development.
