In the airports or all kinds of stations, several Gigabit speed Wi-Fi, 11ac PoE APs connected to a Layer 2 managed PoE switch with only one Gigabit bandwidth for uplink will certainly be the bottleneck of internet service.

To overcome this problem, PLANET has launched a new Layer 2+ Managed Gigabit Switch, GS-5220-8P2T2X, which provides 8 10/100/1000BASE-T ports featuring 36-watt 802.3at PoE+, 2 additional Gigabit copper ports and another 2 extra 1/10 Gigabit BASE-X SFP+ fiber slots. It also supports both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols and Layer 3 static routing capability to enable the GS-5220-8P2T2X to offer 10Gbps big pipe connectivity to core networks.

Intelligent PoE Functions for Powered Devices Management
As an advanced Layer 2 managed PoE+ switch designed for non-stop wireless or surveillance networks, the GS-5220-8P2T2X features intelligent PoE functions such as PD alive check, scheduled power recycling and PoE schedule to improve the availability of critical business applications.

Redundant Ring, Fast Recovery for Critical Network Applications
The GS-5220-8P2T2X supports redundant ring technology and it incorporates advanced ITU-T G.8032 ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) technology.
